NOAA: Grant funds available for coastal resiliency projects
Federal Grant money is now available to nearly anyone working on coastal resiliency projects on the Delmarva Peninsula.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is awarding grants between $75,000 and $2 million to non-profits, for profits, higher education, states, counties, municipalities and towns in coastal shoreline or coastal watershed areas that need help funding projects to help prepare, plan, absorb, recover and adapt to adverse weather events or long-term environmental changes.
Anyone interested in applying for the grant must submit a pre-proposal via e-mail by March 7th. If that makes the cut, a full proposal would be submitted by May.
How to apply
Applicants must submit a pre-proposal by email to聽resilience.grants@noaa.gov. Full proposals will only be accepted from eligible applicants that received an invitation to submit a full proposal based on the strength of their pre-proposal. Full proposals should be submitted through the聽www.Grants.gov聽website. The format and content of the pre-proposal and full proposal are described in the聽Federal Funding Opportunity announcement聽posted to聽www.Grants.gov.
