Oak Orchard Crash Leaves Lewes Motorcycle Driver Critical at Christiana Hospital

An investigation into a motorcycle crash Saturday just before noon continues in the Oak Orchard area.  Delaware State Police say a truck pulling a boat and trailer northbound on Oak Orchard Road began a right turn into a parking lot.  A motorcycle driven by a 58 year old man from Lewes began to pass the trailer on the right side and struck the truck.  The rider was ejected – he was not wearing a helmet and was flown to Christiana Medical Center in critical condition.  The driver of the truck and his passenger were properly restrained and not injured.
