UPDATED: Ocean City Officials Continue Monitoring Winter Storm

UPDATED – 02/22/26 –聽The Town of Ocean City is currently under a Blizzard Warning in effect until the evening hours of Monday, February 23, 2026, as issued by the National Weather Service, Wakefield, Virginia. Ocean City is expected to experience heavy snowfall, strong wind gusts, and reduced visibility from blowing snow, potentially creating whiteout conditions.
Snowfall accumulations are forecast between 8 and 14 inches, with wind gusts between 45 and 60 mph possible. The combination of accumulating snow, gusty winds, and dropping temperatures is expected to create hazardous driving conditions tonight through Monday.
The Town of Ocean City Emergency Management personnel continue to closely monitor the storm.
Parking & Travel Advisory
As this winter storm moves in, residents and visitors are strongly encouraged to park in driveways or designated parking lots to help keep side streets clear for snow plows. Clear roads mean faster, safer snow removal for everyone.
Please complete final storm preparations now and plan to stay off the roads as conditions worsen. This storm will bring reduced visibility and dangerous travel conditions as the night progresses. For your safety and the safety of snow removal crews, avoid unnecessary travel until plows have cleared the way.
The Town of Ocean City Public Works Department is ready to initiate plowing operations as snow accumulates. The community can assist by keeping streets open and accessible.
