OCPD Arrest Baltimore Man for Vehicle Break-ins


A Baltimore man has been arrested by Ocean City Police after an investigation into multiple vehicle break-ins. Police were called when a women returned to her parked car on Wicomico Street Thursday and found signs of a break-in and personal belongings missing. She also received text alerts from her credit card company about unauthorized transactions at nearby businesses. Using security camera footage, police got a description of the suspect and spotted him near 8th Street. After a chase where the suspect tossed multiple items along his path, 37 year old Terrell Jones was arrested. Police recovered items discarded by Jones including a bag with a modified handgun, items from the vehicle break-in on Wicomico Street and another unreported break-in on Baltimore Avenue.

Jones is charged with multiple offenses:

  • Theft ($100 to <$1,500) – 2 counts   
  • Theft Scheme ($100 to <$1,500) – 4 counts 
  • Credit Card Fraud – 2 counts   
  • Credit Card Theft – 2 counts  
  • Rogue and Vagabond – 3 counts  
  • Handgun-Related Offenses – 9 counts  
  • Failure to Obey a Lawful Order  
  • Disorderly Conduct  
  • Resisting Arrest  
  • Pedestrian-Related Traffic Violations – 3 counts 
  • Outstanding Arrest Warrants (Baltimore County & Baltimore City Circuit Court)

Jones was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and ordered held without bond. He has since been transferred to the Worcester County Jail.
