One of the oldest mares on Assateague Island was euthanized on Tuesday. Officials with the National Park Service saying the 31-year old mare Miss T was unable to stand. Miss T lived most of her life in the developed area, near the bayside campgrounds. Rangers believe her condition was a natural end-of-life scenario that faces many horses. Miss T is survived by her 3 offspring and one grand-horse.
