PA Boater Charged with OUI in Assawoman Bay

A boater speeding away from US Coast Guard officials in the Assawoman Bay was stopped by Maryland Natural Resources Police last month.  The NRP boats caught up with the boater, who remained uncooperative.  The operator is Anthony Campisi of Lansdale, Pennsylvania – he is charged with OUI, negligent operation of a vessel as well as several federal charges from the US Coast Guard.  On the state charges Campisi faces a maximum of 14 months in jail and $2500 in fines.
