This picture was taken around 2002. Peg Baunchalk was first elected to Fenwick Islandās Town Council in 1993 and served as the Treasurer of the Town before ascending to Mayor in 1995. Peg continuously served as Mayor of Fenwick Island until 2003. She was a Democratic candidate for the Sussex County Council (she lost the election to Vance Phillips). During her campaign she became friendly with the Talk of Delmarva’s afternoon host, Ron Letterman. The Talk of Delmarva has learned that Peg Baunchalk passed away on October 31st at the age of 91.
