Parkside Instructional Assistant Charged with Sex Abuse of a Minor

A Wicomico County Grand Jury has indicted 36 year old Jonathan Eure of Salisbury on 10 counts – including sex abuse of a minor, perverted practice and 4th degree sex offense. He is an instructional assistant at Parkside High School, but was placed on administrative leave during the investigation. Officials with the Sheriff’s Department say that Eure engaged in multiple instances of sexual contact with the minor victim.

The investigation is ongoing and The Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center is asking that any person(s) that have information relating to these or similar allegations, or additional information, are asked to contact:

Wicomico County School Superintendent Dr. Donna Hanlin released this statement:
“This morning we were notified by the Stateā€™s Attorneyā€™s Office that Jonathan Eure, an instructional assistant at Parkside High School, has been arrested on numerous charges allegedly involving a minor, who was a former student. Eure had previously been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation. Wicomico County Public Schools is working in full cooperation with the Stateā€™s Attorneyā€™s Office and with law enforcement on this matter.
Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our students and staff. In accordance with the “See Something, Say Something” message that we promote, we strongly encourage our students, staff, parents and community that if you see or hear of anything suspicious or inappropriate, that you report it immediately.
In addition, any person with information related to this matter is asked to contact the Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center or the Stateā€™s Attorneyā€™s Office.”
