Pedestrian Bridge at Salisbury Riverwalk Amphitheater Reopens

Just in time for spring the Riverwalk Amphitheater Pedestrian Bridge has reopened – restoring a key connection along the Riverwalk for residents and visitors. This is just in time for the spring and summer events that will be taking place along the Riverwalk and Downtown Salisbury – including the Friday Night Live concert series at the Riverwalk Amphitheater.

Additional information from the City of Salisbury:

The reopening arrives just in time for the season’s longer days and warmer weather, as the community gears up for a full return to Salisbury’s spring and summer event schedule. The Riverwalk now offers a seamless connection from The Ross to the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater and the newly rebranded and revitalized DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and the Savour restaurant at 300 S. Salisbury Blvd.

This spring also marks the return of signature downtown traditions, including Hops on the River on April 25 and the kickoff of this year’s 3rd Friday celebrations — starting with a special commemoration of 100 years of Salisbury University. For the second consecutive year, the United Way will host Over the Edge for ALICE® at The Ross on May 8.

The City will bring an exciting lineup of musicians to the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater this summer for the Friday Night Live concert series. With the pedestrian bridge now open, accessibility to convenient parking for amphitheater events and rentals has significantly improved.

“We’re excited to welcome the community back to this beautiful space,” Mayor Randy Taylor said. “The amphitheater is an affordable, rentable venue that brings people together. We hope residents and organizations will take advantage of this unique setting for their events.”

The amphitheater remains available for community rentals. More information is available at Salisbury.md/citizen-services.
