UPDATED: Pedestrian from Berlin Dies in O.C. Crash

UPDATED – Monday, June 15 – 5pm – The Ocean City Police Department is investigating a pedestrian crash that occurred just after midnight on Monday, June 15 at 19th Street and Baltimore Avenue. Police say 66 year old Kirk Hilton of Berlin was crossing Baltimore Avenue in the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes. Hilton was pronounced dead at the scene. Charges are pending against the driver, 18 year old Cole Allen of Smock, PA. Police say alcohol, drugs and speed are not factors to the collision.

A pedestrian has been critically injured in a crash around 12:05 a.m. today at 19th Street and Baltimore Avenue in Ocean City.

Traffic has been detoured from Baltimore Avenue to Philadelphia Avenue while police complete their investigation.
