A former youth pastor at a Pocomoke City church has been convicted of sexually abusing minors.

Worcester County authorities say that 34-year-old Rodney Harmon Jr. of Stockton sexually abused multiple children while serving as a youth pastor. The investigation began in August of last year. Harmon Jr. was convicted of three counts of sexual abuse of a minor and one count of displaying an obscene item to a minor.

Each count of sexual abuse of a minor carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison. Harmon’s sentencing was deferred by the court pending a pre-sentence investigation.
