UPDATED – 6/7/21 – Through the investigation, detectives have identified the driver of the vehicle wanted in connection to this incident. He is described as a black male, approximately 25-35 years old, with black facial hair. He wore a black baseball-style hat and a black hooded sweatshirt and operated an older model white Nissan Murano with a license plate holder on the front bumper. Also in the vehicle during the incident were three other male suspects.


Delaware State Police are investigating an incident Monday evening on Slaughter Beach road where shots were fired at a home just after 7. Police say there were two people inside when an unknown vehicle drove past and several rounds were fired in the direction of the home. Troopers say at least 4 rounds struck the home. One round entered through the east wall, went through the living room and hit an object there. The female resident was sitting in the living room at the time, but was not injured. Multiple shell casings were found on Slaughter Beach Road as well. Anyone with information should contact Troop 4 in Georgetown or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
