Public Comment Encouraged on Fairness in Girls’ Sports Legislation; Committee Hearing to be held this Wednesday

Senate Bill 215, known as the Fairness in Girls’ Sports Act and sponsored by Senator Bryant Richardson, is scheduled for consideration by the Senate Education Committee on Wednesday, January 28, at 1:30 p.m. Senator Richardson said he is encouraging parents, student-athletes, and members of the public to offer public comment, either in person or virtually, regarding the bill, which he says is intended to address issues related to Title IX, fairness in girls’ sports, and privacy in certain spaces.
