Real Estate booms in Sussex County in 2017

Home sales in Sussex County up 15% in the past year. According to the Sussex County Association of Realtors, with the exception of farms, every real estate sector showed an upward trend in 2017. Over $1.4 billion was spent on single family homes in the county last year, with sales prices averaging around $350,000. The report also notes townhouse and condo sales, lot and land sales, and commercial real estate sales are all increasing in volume and price. The only laggard in 2017 was farm sales, down 14%, and selling for 3% less than the year before.
