Rehoboth man arrested for stealing drugs while at detox center

A man from Rehoboth Beach was arrested in Harrington after stealing medication while at a detox center. According to the Harrington Police Department, Sam Ellis of Rehoboth was admitted into the Connections rehab center in Harrington, when he entered a medicine room of the facility and began stealing medication. Staff called police, and informed them Ellis had ingested some of the medication. Ellis was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital for treatment before being released back to Harrington Police for processing. Ellis was charged with theft under $1,500 and was released on $500 unsecured bond.
