DelDOT will cut the ribbon cutting for the new North Millsboro Bypass on Monday morning at 10:30am. However while the new bypass was to open for traffic on Tuesday – officials at DelDOT tell the Talk of Delmarva the opening of the roadway has now been pushed back to Friday morning – September 26th.
DelDOT has put up two new traffic cameras at each end of the project – one at the Route 113 side of the bypass and the other at Route 24 and Hollyville Road. There is still work to be done to have the roadway ready for vehicles.
So far only one section of the new roadway has opened and that’s the access ramp from eastbound Route 20 to southbound Route 113 – which opened in early August.
