Salisbury Man Arrested on Drug & Firearms Offenses after Traffic Stop in Talbot County

A Salisbury man has been arrested by Maryland State Police after a traffic stop for impaired driving in Talbot County on Saturday. Police stopped a pickup driven by 40 year old William Lanham of Salisbury on Route 50 near Easton around 8 Saturday night. During the stop the trooper observed multiple criminal indicators and a search of the pickup turned up two loaded firearms as well as suspected methadone and Xanax. Police arrested Lanham who was transported to the Talbot County Department of Corrections and is charged with the following:
- Loaded handgun in vehicle (2 counts)聽
- Illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition聽
- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance聽
- Various firearms-related violations聽
- Driving under the influence聽
- Multiple traffic citations
Lanham is currently free after posting a $30,000 unsecured bond.
