Salisbury Man Sentenced for First-Degree Murder, First-Degree Assault, and Firearm Charge
A 19-year-old from Salisbury– Cashmir Holbrook– has been sentenced to life with all but 40 years suspended for First-Degree Murder. Other active sentences include 10 years on a firearm charge–five years of which is without parole, and 25 years on a First Degree Assault charge, with all but 10 years suspended. The active sentences will be followed by 5 years of supervised probation, during which Holbrook will be exposed to the unsuspended portions of the sentences should he be found in violation. Holbrook previously pleaded guilty on June 4th. Holbrook was involved in two gang-related incidents–one in which the murder happened at Pizza City on April 15th and 16th, 2023 and the other at the late evening July 4th party at Chippewa Boulevard in 2023. There Holbrook attempted to fire an AK-47 during a shootout on the early morning of July 5th, but the weapon malfunctioned.
