Salisbury University Issues Traffic Advisory for 2026 Commencement May 20-21
Salisbury University is advising the public of significant traffic and parking changes for its Spring Commencement ceremonies scheduled May 20–21. The Wednesday graduate ceremony at Maggs Physical Activities Center and Thursday undergraduate ceremony at Sea Gull Stadium will bring heavy traffic around campus, with expected delays on major routes including Route 13, Milford Street, Beaglin Park Drive, and College Avenue during peak arrival times. Wayne Street will be closed between Bateman and Power streets from Sunday evening through Thursday evening, and additional campus roads will be restricted to Commencement traffic only on Thursday morning. Parking will be designated across multiple campus lots and garages, with specific areas reserved for graduates, guests, accessible parking, and overflow, and shuttle service will run from key parking locations. Officials are reminding attendees that street parking near campus and at nearby businesses or schools is prohibited and may result in tickets or towing, and are encouraging carpooling and early arrival due to expected congestion.
