SCAM ALERT: Illegal Marijuana Operation Impersonating a Licensed Dispensary

The Delaware Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement is warning about a fraudulent marijuana operation that is targeting University of Delaware students and residents of Newark. DATE has receive reports of counterfeit business cards and flyers being distributed that falsely claim to represent “Fresh Delaware” – a legitimate marijuana business. The imposters are trying to mislead potential customers into purchasing marijuana products illegally. No licensed recreational marijuana dispensary in Delaware is permitted to deliver marijuana or marijuana products. Any business claiming to offer such delivery services is operating illegally. Licensed dispensaries are permitted to deliver medical marijuana to qualified patients only.
