School shooting threat made to middle school upstate

An upstate middle school in Delaware will see a heavier than normal police presence this morning after a threat was posted to Instagram that someone was going to carry out a shooting at Skyline Middle School Monday morning.

The threat, which was posted on Instagram, stated that a subject was going to carry out a shooting at the school, according to police. The investigation into the threat is active and ongoing.

For precautionary measures there will be an additional police presence at the school on Monday, January 27.

There will also be an additional police presence at Heritage Elementary School due to it’s close proximity to Skyline Middle. There was no threat to Heritage, these measures are in place out of an abundance of caution.
