Scott Hamilton Files to Run for Wicomico County Sheriff

Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis will have a contested election now that Scott Hamilton of Salisbury has announced his candidacy for Sheriff of Wicomico County in the 2026 election. Hamilton brings over 20 years of local law enforcement – including 21 years in the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office – and over 22 years of military service. He is currently the President of the Wicomico County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #111.
