Seaford Man Sentenced after Fatal Hit & Run

A Seaford man has been sentenced after a hit and run crash that took the life of a 9 year old girl. Last month 22 year old Dwayne McConnell pleaded guilty to operation of a motor vehicle causing death and leaving the scene of a deadly car accident. The 9 year old girl was crossing the street after checking the family’s mail box on German Road when she was struck. Last week McConnell was sentenced in Sussex County Superior court to 18 months in prison followed by a year of home confinement.
