Seaford Police Investigate Gunshots Wednesday Night

Seaford Police are investigating gunshots in the area of Collins Avenue near Nutter Park.

Officers in the area who were conducting a traffic stop Wednesday night at about 8:30 heard numerous gunshots, and saw a group along Collins Avenue quickly dispersing. Additional Seaford officers and personnel from surrounding agencies arrived and secured the scene.

A residence in the 700-block of Collins Avenue was struck by multiple rounds, and an occupied vehicle was also struck. No injuries have been reported.

Seaford Police said evidence found at the scene indicates that there was more than one shooter involved.
