Senator Blunt Rochester Celebrates Committee Passage of Legislation to Make Manufacturing More Efficient in America

U.S. Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester announced that her bipartisan bill, the Streamlining American Manufacturing Strategy Act, has passed out of the Senate Commerce Committee. Co-sponsored with Senator Ted Budd (R-N.C.), the bill aims to better coordinate national manufacturing strategies by aligning planning timelines. Currently, two major manufacturing plans operate on different update cycles鈥攐ne every three years, the other every four. The bill would synchronize these to a single four-year cycle, making it easier to set goals, collect data, and reduce red tape for those involved in advanced U.S. manufacturing.
