UPDATED: Snow Emergency Plans Lifted on Lower Shore – Still in Place in Several Other MD Counties

UPDATED – 1/14/19 – Snow emergency plans have been lifted in Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset Counties.

The Maryland State Police and local agencies, along with the State Highway Administration have put a snow emergency plan has been put in place in Worcester, Wicomico, Somerset, Talbot, Caroline and Dorchester Counties.  This is to help highway officials in their snow clearing operations, so all vehicles must be equipped with snow chains or snow tires and a parking ban is in effect on all snow emergency routes.  Vehicles left on the shoulders of these routes will be towed at the owner’s expense.
