Student Arrested With Gun At James M. Bennett High School

A student is charged with bringing a gun to James M. Bennett High School in Wicomico County.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, school administrators and school resource deputies learned Tuesday afternoon about a video circulating on social media that showed a student armed with a pistol at school. The student in the video was quickly found and taken out of a classroom.

An investigation revealed that the 14-year-old juvenile was carrying a loaded pistol hidden in the waistband of his pants.

The student is facing several charges that have been forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Services.
