Sussex County Council Approves Bruce Mears for Vacant P&Z Seat

The Sussex County Council has approved the nomination of builder Bruce Mears of Ocean View to the Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission.  Mears, who has been a member of the County Board of Adjustment since 2017, was nominated for the P&Z seat by Doug Hudson, who vacated the seat when he was sworn in to the County Council earlier this month.  Mears is also a member of the Building Code Board of Adjustments & Appeals since 1996.  A public interview was held during this morning’s Council meeting and Mears was approved with a 5 to 0 vote.  He will resign from the County BOA posts to move to the Planning & Zoning Commission – which next meets on February 14^th.
