Sussex County Council Honors Two Cape Henlopen HS Championship Teams
The Sussex County Council met Tuesday afternoon. Their first order of business was to read proclamations for two championship teams from Sussex County – both teams from Cape Henlopen High School – for Girls Lacrosse and Boys Baseball.
County Planning and Zoning Director, Jamie Whitehouse requested a 6-month extension for a conditional use application for the Roxana Road Storage. Applicant indicated to the County that construction was delayed to to reasons outside of their reasonable control. The conditional use will expire on June 14th unless substantially underway. The P&Z recommended that a 6-month extension be granted and the County Council agreed with a vote of 5 to 0.聽
There were two applications scheduled for public hearings, however the Change of Zone and Conditional Use applications for Marlin Cove, LLC were withdrawn by the applicant. So the public hearings on the applications were canceled.
The Sussex County Council is scheduled to meet next Tuesday, however the agenda has not yet been posted.
