Sussex County Council Meets at 9am Tuesday; Proposed FY 2027 Budget to be Presented

Sussex County Council will meet Tuesday – with an early start – at 9am. The Council will revisit 4 conditional use applications in Old Business followed by public hearings on 4 proposed ordinance amendments.

County Administrator Todd Lawson will present the proposed FY 2027 County Budget to the Council. This will include an ordinance to establish annual service charges, assessment rates for county water and sanitary sewer districts and establish a school surcharge on building permit applications to generate revenue for capital improvements for local school districts and Sussex Tech.
