Sussex County Council to Discuss Reassessment Tuesday

The Sussex County Council meets Tuesday morning. The Council will hear from the Director of Assessment, Chris Keeler, to discuss the reassessment that will be done in Sussex County and possibly award a contract for the job. County Administrator Todd Lawson will discuss appointments to the Planning Commission and the BOA. He will also discuss the County’s Collection process.

There will be three conditional use applications heard during the afternoon session.

Conditional Use No. 2235 is an amendment of conditions of approval for CU No 2129 in the Lincoln area for over 10 acres between Route 1 and Argos Corner Road for mini-storage buildings.

Conditional Use No. 2244 is for a grocery store to be located on just over an acre of land near Hickman and Scotts Store Road near Greenwood.

Conditional Use No 2246 is for an real estate business on Route 24 southwest of the Mulberry Knoll road intersection near Lewes.

The County Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended approval for each of the Conditional Use applications. The Sussex County Council meets at 10am Tuesday in the County Administration Building on the Circle in Georgetown.
