Bethel Bridge over Broad Creek Reopens Early!

DelDOT announces the bridge over Broad Creek on Main Avenue in Bethel is now open to traffic. The bridge closed in mid-June for maintenance and repairs to the bridge deck. The bridge was expected to reopen Sunday – but DelDOT officials say the bridge is now open to all traffic.

UPDATED  4/18/19 – 11pm – The tornado that touched down in the Laurel area wasn’t the only one in Sussex County. The National Weather Service say an EF1 tornado touched down near Carpenter Road in Harbeson. Officials say this was associated with the same parent circulation that produced the EF2 in Laurel.
