Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/12/26
Saturday was a half-way decent day if you didn鈥檛 try to go outside either of the two inlets. Our old Friend Small Craft Advisory was up again.
Lewes Harbour Marina said they saw some flounder caught from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal. Minnows were the prime bait, but I suspect a green bucktail with a Gulp! crawfish would also draw the attention of the local flatfish. They also said some small striped bass were caught and released from the Canal with frozen mullet on a non-offset circle hook the top bait. Here too a white bucktail with a Gulp! teaser would be another good choice.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said once again Saturday saw a few keeper tog caught out of Indian River Inlet on sand fleas. Small striped bass were taken on swim shads behind lead heads fished at dawn and dusk.
