Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/16/26
Summer did arrive on Wednesday with temperatures hitting 90 degrees and the fish responding as they should.
Patty at Captain Bones reported on another giant rainbow trout that was good for a Delaware Citation. This one was caught by Michele Herbster out of White Clay Creek on a floating worm and weighed 5.89 pounds. She also told us about striped bass that were over and under and inside the 28 to 31-inch slot. These fish are found at Augustine Beach, Dobbinsville and Old New Castle and have been caught on bloodworms and bunker.
Lewes Harbour Marina saw two 31-inch striped bass caught from Indian River Inlet during the very early morning on bucktails.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said black drum have been caught from the beach at Fenwick Island on frozen mullet.
