Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/17/26
Thursday was another hot day, but it didn鈥檛 compare to the heat NOAA generated by creating a bunch of devastating regulations for summer flounder and black sea bass.
In federal waters the summer flounder season will begin on May 8th and end on September 31st. The minimum size limit will be 18.5 inches and the bag limit will be three fish.
Black sea bass will open on May 15. The season will run until September 30th. The size limit will be 15 inches.
What happened to status quo and the 20% increase?
These regulations will put every charter and head boat from Delaware to North Carolina out of business. The same regulations will also put the tackle shops, marinas and all the other businesses that support recreational saltwater fishing out of business as well.
