Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/18/26
Friday was a big day for me. It was the first time I fished Indian River Inlet since I broke my hip last May. Unfortunately, I didn鈥檛 catch anything, but neither did anyone else during the two hours I was there from 0630 to 0830. I had hoped to prove the hickory shad had arrived.
I was very happy to see the Army Corps of Engineers ran a sidewalk out over the rocks just west of the bridge on the northside so I can access my favorite fishing spot. On Friday it was covered up with bait fishermen. Some of them were using long rods with no reels.
Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m did clean a keeper striper caught from the Inlet early in the morning. They also reported the No Limit was out fishing. To outfit the new boat and be ready for charters in such a short time is amazing.
