Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/27/26
Sunday did not live up to its gale warning billing, but the small craft advisory still kept boats off the ocean and bay.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that the beach was awash and they had no reports from Indian River Inlet.
So much for the bad news. Now for the good news. I have it from a reliable source that the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration will publish in the federal register the correct regulations for black sea bass and summer flounder as approved by the Mid-Atlantic Council. Instead of having a waiting period while taking public comment, the new regulations will become law within time for the black sea bass season to open on May 1st. The size limit will be 12.5 inches and the bag limit will remain at 15 fish.
