Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/30/26

Wednesday saw a mix of clouds and sun at the beach with winds up to 20 knots on the open water. Waves ran between 3 and 4 feet.

Both Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said no boats left their docks. Lewes Harbour Marina did report some flounder that were caught out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal. My guess would be that most were taken on minnows.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle had the best news. Big bluefish to 12 pounds were caught out of Indian River Inlet and from the beach down to 3Rs Road. The choppers ate bait such as cut bunker or mullet and crashed metal lures like a nice, shiny Hopkins. No guarantee they will return, but I would be on the beach or at the inlet just in case.
