Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/07/25

From the surf to the bays, the action is heating up along the Delaware coast!

In Delaware Bay, anglers are hooking into keeper-sized striped bass near the Cape Henlopen fishing pier and along the Outer Wall. Fresh bunker and bloodworms are the top baits. Black drum are also making a strong showing near Broadkill Beach鈥攃lam baits are doing the trick.

Along the Atlantic surf, it’s a mixed bag鈥攌ingfish, blowfish, and some early bluefish are being landed between Rehoboth and Fenwick. Fishbites and cut mullet are your best bets here.

Indian River Inlet remains hot, with short stripers stacked up around the rocks鈥攖ry bucktails and soft plastics on the outgoing tide. Flounder action is picking up in the back bays, especially near Massey鈥檚 Ditch, with Gulp baits leading the way.

Offshore, boats are prepping for tuna season, but a few early reports suggest bluefin sightings near the Baltimore Canyon.
