Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/13/25
Spring action is heating up across the Delmarva region! In the Chesapeake Bay, anglers are reporting good catches of striped bas 鈥攖ry trolling with tandem rigs or casting soft plastics near structure. The Black Drum bite is also solid near the mouth of the bay.
On the Delaware Bay, flounder are starting to show up around reef sites and inshore wrecks, especially on the outgoing tide using gulp-tipped bucktails. Keep an eye out for bluefish, which are blitzing bait pods from Lewes down to Broadkill.
Along the Atlantic surf, kingfish and puffers are keeping rods bent, with the occasional drum or striper in the mix鈥攂loodworms and clam are your best bets.
In-shore wrecks off Ocean City are producing sea bass and tautog, though you鈥檒l want to head out early to beat the traffic and drift conditions.
Back bays and creeks are alive with schooling stripers, shad, and early specks, especially around dusk.
