Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/14/25
Inshore & Bay: The flounder bite is heating up in Indian River and Rehoboth Bays. Anglers drifting with squid and minnows around the flats and channel edges are reporting solid catches. Bluefish are running in the Indian River Inlet鈥攂ucktails, plugs, and metal lures are producing, especially during outgoing tides.
Surf Fishing: Action is steady along the Delaware beaches. Black drum are showing up at Broadkill and Fowler Beach, taking clam and peeler crab. Stripers are still active in the surf, with some nice slot-sized fish being taken on bunker chunks during low-light hours.
Freshwater: Large-mouth bass are aggressive post-spawn in popular spots like Killens Pond and Trap Pond鈥攖op water lures early, then switch to soft plastics or crank baits later in the day. Crappie are still biting in the shallows on small jigs and minnows.聽聽
