Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/18/25

Saturday saw small craft advisories up and they will be up on Sunday.

I spite of less than perfect weather fish were caught on Saturday.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the Indian River Inlet did not disappoint those who got there early in the morning. The North Jetty saw good fishing for striped bass with swimshads and SP Minnows the top producers. The beach at Fenwick Island produced a 44-inch striper along with spot, croaker and kings. Nothing would make me happier than a summer surf full of spot, croaker and kings.

Suzanne Martin caught a nice bluefish from the beach at Cape Henlopen.

Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m reported the first bluefin tuna of the season. It was caught on the Elizabeth Anne and weighed 36 pounds.

Danial Jones had a 3.1-pound Delaware Citation black sea bass.
