Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/18/26
Sunday was a beautiful day with warm sunshine and light winds.
Lewes Harbour Marina told me that the Bottom Line and at least one other charter boat plus a few private boats ran up to the Coral Beds off of Slaughter Beach in search of black drum. Since they usually fish until dark they had not returned by the time I made my report calls at 4:00 p.m. There were some small boats fishing the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal for flounder, but they did not report their success or lack thereof to the marina.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said a few flounder and small blues were caught at high tide. The flounder were most likely caught on minnows fished close to the pilings and the blues probably took cut bait.
This is Eric Burnley with your Talk of DelMarVa fishing report.
