Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/22/25

Wednesday, we had a hard northeast wind and a cold rain. Small craft advisories were up again and they will be up on Thursday as well. The good news is the holiday weekend is looking fishable.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle is the only reporting station I called and they said the only report they had all day was a few small stripers caught at the beginning of the incoming current. No word on bait used, but I would guess a bucktail.

If we do get good weather for the weekend the fishing should be fine. Black sea bass on inshore structure are just waiting to be caught. The further east you run the better chance you have of catching bigger fish.

The surf could give up a variety of fish including blues, black drum, spot, flounder and croaker.
