Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/24/26

Saturday was another mess. Wind and rain with plenty of both had a gale warning flying on area waters. To the best of my knowledge, no one went fishing. The wind drops out a bit on Sunday, but seas still top out at 8 feet.

The state will no longer maintain the channel markers in Bakers Channel. This channel was used to relieve the boat traffic in Massey’s Ditch, but the harsh winter has caused the channel to become unpredictable and no longer available for navigation.

On the same subject, it is possible that all the day markers on all the inland bays may not be up by the end of this weekend. The reason is the weather conditions. Those same weather conditions, I am sure, have kept most, if not all, recreational boaters off the water.
