Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/29/25
Wednesday the heavens opened up and blessed us with lots of water.
Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em reported a pending Delaware State Record Golden Tilefish. It was landed aboard the Blue Betty II. Logan Smith caught the 56.2-pound monster that was 42.5 inches long. Also along on the trip were Cody Layfield and Captain Austin Decker. The action took place in the Poorman’s Canyon and the fish hit a whole squid.
The only report I have from Wednesday came from Timothy Keer. He hit the Indian River Inlet early in the morning and dropped two stripers when his knots failed, but landed a nice bluefish on a white bucktail with a white twister tail.
Lewes Harbour Marina reported some action from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal. Jerry Rockwell had a 5.8-pound flounder from there before the storm.
