Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/30/25

Thursday saw small craft advisories up on the ocean once again.

Patty at Captain Bones in Odessa said not much different going on there. Still white perch, small stripers and catfish in the Delaware River from Augustine Beach on down to the fishing pier at Woodland Beach. Bloodworms for the stripers and perch while the catfish will take cut bunker or stink baits.

Steve at Smith Bait in Leipsic said black drum have become scarce at the Coral Beds. Still a few around that will take peeler crab or clams at dusk. Trout, croaker and blues are a better bet at or near the Upper Bay reef sites. Bloodworms for the croaker and trout with metal lures or cut bait for the blues.

Taylored Tackle in Seaford told us the blue cats are on the prowl in the Nanticoke River. Cut bait on the bottom should work.
