Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/01/25
Saturday saw a variety of weather and none of it was good. We had small craft advisories up on the ocean and then there was a severe thunderstorm warning for all of Sussex County. The storm came through my area quite quickly with a lot of wind and downpour of rain.
Captain Brin out of Fisherman鈥檚 Wharf said on her last trip there were a lot of small sea bass and some keepers. The same was true for flounder. Murph had a limit of four flounder plus the pool winner, a 22.5 incher.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said not much change at the Indian River Inlet. Stripers are caught at night on drifted sand fleas and eels. A few more are caught early in the morning from the jetties on swimshads and HP Minnows. Blues on the incoming on metal. A few flounder are caught on minnows fished in the slow eddies.
