Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/08/25
Saturday was a rain and then sunshine day with light winds and big seas on the ocean. Delaware Bay was relatively calm.
The big news came from Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em. They reported the Action Jackson with Captain Chris Keller, Steve Lampert, Paisley and her Dad, Derek Burkert and Jody Lutz, all from Reading, PA. brought in a 530-pound thresher shark. A whole, fresh bluefish was used for bait. They also caught sea bass, bluefish, bonita and Spanish mackerel. They released a tog.
Lewes Harbour Marina said several charter and private boats, including the Bottom Line, returned from ocean structure with limits of sea bass.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said no change in the fishing there. Still croaker and spot on bloodworms.
