Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/21/25
Friday there was a bit of a discrepancy between the marine forecast and the actual conditions on the water. The forecast called for southwest at 5 to 10 knots with seas of 2 to 3 feet. The actual wind speed was southwest at 12 knots with gusts to 20 knots. The seas were not given, but I am sure they topped 2 to 3 feet.
On Thursday the Swordfish ran offshore to the Poorman鈥檚 Canyon and guess what they caught? That鈥檚 right, a 65-pound swordfish. They also had four yellowfin tuna.
Closer to shore, Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park told us kayak anglers are having good luck with keeper flounder fishing with minnows and bucktails close to the empty pilings at the end of the pier.
